Behold, your new favorite pasta recipe šŸ¤© This dish is LOADED with flavor from the sausage and bacon and even has a little crunch thanks to those GF breadcrumbs šŸ˜‹ Give this one a go when youā€™re in the pasta mood!

Ingredients:

6oz pasture-raised bacon, chopped into small pieces @applegate

Ā¼ cup (56g) grass-fed butter

3/4 cup (84g) gluten-free breadcrumbs @porkpanko

1 tbsp (15g) avocado oil @chosenfoods

1 lb (454g) ground spicy sausage (made my own with @forceofnaturemeats droid pork)

Ā¾ lb (340g) gluten-free penne pasta @jovialfoods

2 tsp minced garlic (can sub 1 tsp garlic powder)

Ā¼ tsp cayenne, optional (for extra spice)

1 1/4 cups (300ml) dairy-free milk of choice

1/2 cup (56g) Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. As it preheats, add the chopped bacon and cook until crisp. Remove from the pan and set aside. Keep some of the fat in the pan

2. Add one tablespoon of butter and the breadcrumbs to the pan and cook (stirring often) until golden brown. Add the cooked bacon back to the pan, mix to combine, then transfer the mixture to a bowl. Set aside

3. Boil a pot of water and a generous amount of salt. Once boiling, add your pasta and cook until al dente. Once finished, drain the water, rinse, and set aside

4. Meanwhile, add the avocado oil to the pan. Then, add the ground sausage and cook until no pink remains. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Add in the milk and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes to thicken

5. After 10 minutes, add the cooked pasta, remaining butter, and parmesan. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese and butter are melted and combined and the sauce reaches your desired thickness. Add salt to taste, if needed. Then, top with the bacon/breadcrumb mixture and serve! Enjoy!
