Maple Butter Roasted Acorn Squash



Looking for a sweet and satisfying side dish to serve alongside your main dish? Roasting these bad boys gives the sugar a chance to caramelize, giving the squash a delicious maple flavor 😋 Give these a try sometime, you won’t be disappointed!!


Ingredients:

2 acorn squash, seeded and cut into halves or wedges

4 tablespoons @trulygrassfed butter

2 tablespoons @thrivemarket pure maple syrup or raw honey

1 tablespoon coconut or date sugar (optional)

@redmondrealsalt unrefined salt, to taste

Ground cinnamon, to garnish (optional)


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 425F

2. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, toss together the squash, honey/maple syrup, and salt (to taste). Place skin-side down on the baking sheet and add your butter and sugar (if using) into the divot of each piece of squash. Transfer to the oven and roast for 30-40 minutes, or until the squash is golden and fork-tender

3. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cinnamon (if desired), and enjoy!
