Gluten-Free Pasta & Meat Sauce (High-Protein)



Sometimes we just crave some pasta, let’s be honest 💁‍♂️ But pasta cravings don’t have to throw you off your healthy eating plan I promise you. This recipe makes it super easy to squeeze in some extra veggies, complex carbs, and quality protein. Try this next pasta night 🙌


Ingredients:

8oz organic brown rice penne pasta @traderjoes

1 1/2 cups roasted garlic pasta sauce @raoshomemade

12oz frozen broccoli florets

1 lb grass-fed ground beef @butcher_box

2 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp unrefined salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

2oz grated parmesan or pecorino Romano cheese


Instructions:

1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and bring a pot of water to a boil

2. Add your broccoli to the skillet and cook until tender and heated through. Once the pot of water is boiling, add your noodles and cook according to the package instructions. Then, drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside

3. Once the broccoli is done cooking, remove it from the pan and set aside. Then, add the ground beef and seasonings and cook until browned

4. Once the beef is browned, add the noodles, sauce, and broccoli into the same pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until everything is well combined and heated through

5. Transfer some of the pasta to a plate and grate your cheese over the top. Enjoy!
